Our story

It started with one truck and a phone book.

In 1984, our founder bought a single dump truck, took out a quarter-page ad in the Yellow Pages, and started knocking on doors in the San Fernando Valley. The promise was simple: pick up the phone, show up on time, do the work, do it right.

Forty years later, the trucks are bigger and the phone book is gone, but the promise is exactly the same. Three generations of one Los Angeles family run CalStar today, and you'll still get a real person when you call.
